Mission

Comanche Nation Youth Services upholds core values that emphasize holistic wellness—spirit, mind, and body; cultural preservation through language, history, and teachings; responsible citizenship; and quality education for all Comanche youth. These values align with the nation’s shared vision for the future. The program's primary goal is to empower Comanche youth for a brighter tomorrow.

Services

  1. School Clothing Assistance - Supports Comanche-enrolled students with back-to-school clothing needs.
  2. High School Senior Assistance - Helps offset the costs for seniors, including caps, gowns, announcements, and portraits (no reimbursements for senior orders).
  3. Educational Support - Provides enrichment materials, supplies, and awards for after-school programs.
  4. Youth Program Activities - Large and small group activities, after-school programs focusing on wellness, cultural learning, and citizenship.

Eligibility and Requirements for Services

Student Services

Eligible applicants must:

  • Be a Comanche-enrolled student attending school in grades PreK through 12.
  • Provide proof of membership via a Certificate of Degree of Indian Blood (C.D.I.B.). Pending enrollment will not be accepted.
  • Submit a completed application with all required documents.
  • Be eligible for one application per school year.

Youth Program

Eligible applicants must:

  • Be a Comanche Nation tribal member.
  • Be between the ages of 6 and 18.
  • Provide proof of membership via a Certificate of Degree of Indian Blood (C.D.I.B.).
  • Submit a completed application with all required documents.
  • Be eligible for one application per school year.

Youth Program

    • Small Group Activities: Leadership workshops, language competitions, sports training, college visitation days.
    • After-School Programs: Snacks, enrichment tools, and supplies for each location.
    • Youth Sponsorships: Support for students engaging in focus areas of wellness, education, culture, and citizenship.

 

Mission Statement

The TEDNA ACE Project Grant aims to support tribal students in accessing quality education and resources, ensuring their academic success and cultural enrichment through partnerships and targeted services.

 

Program Overview

The TEDNA ACE Project Grant serves tribal students who qualify for Title VI Indian Education in grades 9-12 attending partnered schools: Geronimo Public School, Indiahoma Public Schools, and Walters Public Schools. The program provides academic support, technology access, college preparation, and cultural enrichment activities.

 

Service Area

The program operates within the partnered school districts of Geronimo, Indiahoma, and Walters.

 

Service Area for Federal Funding

Federal funding supports services for eligible tribal students within these school districts to enhance educational opportunities and support post-secondary aspirations.
