Mission

The mission of Injury Prevention is to prevent and reduce injuries through research, community outreach, and ongoing education by providing the necessary training and proper equipment and following regulatory protocols. Injury Prevention is the ability to manage stress and minimize the impact of physical and mental injuries, that is applied to our tribal government to safeguard our tribal employees and tribal members by establishing compliance within the workplace, providing a safe work environment to carry out duties and services, and to protect tribal members from any result of injury.

• Smoke alarms  
• Fire extinguishers 
• Carbon monoxide detectors
• Bicycle helmets
• Elder safety fair  
• Annual pre-prom car crash simulation
• Fan Program (May 2023 - August 2023)
