Mission
Comanche Nation Emergency Management's mission is to assist Comanche tribal members with emergency preparedness, disaster relief, and recovery efforts in our 9-county service area.
About
The primary objective of emergency management is to effectively respond to any emergencies that may arise within a tribal or community context. Such emergencies may encompass natural disasters, including hurricanes and tornadoes, as well as man-made crises, such as terrorist attacks.
Emergency management commences with a focus on prevention. This entails the establishment of comprehensive plans and procedures designed to facilitate a prompt and effective response to emergencies. Additionally, it is essential to ensure the availability of requisite resources, including personnel, equipment, and supplies.
Upon the occurrence of an emergency, the emergency management team activates its protocols. This team is responsible for coordinating the response efforts of various agencies and organizations, ensuring that all parties collaborate effectively towards the shared objective of safeguarding individuals and property.
