Mission
The Mission of the Comanche Nation Reintegration Program is to empower the personal transformation of incarcerated or formerly incarcerated individuals by facilitating access to the resources and services needed to establish and maintain a healthy, productive, crime-free, and prosperous life.
Reintegration Departmental Services
The Reintegration program provides services to eligible participants who are incarcerated or have been released from incarceration within the past 12 months. The service area is for local/non-local tribal members. The program provides services for 12 months following release from incarceration and referrals for aftercare.
The sentenced adult must meet the following criteria to receive services funded under this program:
- Applicants must be enrolled members of the Comanche tribe.
- Length of incarceration must be 90 days or longer from a correctional facility, jail/prison/detention center/community corrections center.
- Applicants must be currently incarcerated or have been released from incarceration within the last 12 months.
- Applicant must complete the Reintegration program application and provide the requested documentation.
The Reintegration program provides case management services and financial assistance, as needed. Each participant will be provided with culturally relevant, supportive services to foster personal growth, self-identity, self-sufficiency, and identify barriers to success. All services will be subject to the availability of funds and participant eligibility. The Reintegration program will not pay fines, court costs, probation fees, restitution, legal fees, or any other court-related costs.
Adult Reentry Program-Adults
The Adult Reentry Program's purpose is to expand substance use disorder treatment and related recovery and reentry services to sentenced adults in the criminal justice system with a substance use disorder and/or co-occurring substance use and mental disorders, who are returning to their families and community following a period of incarceration in state and local facilities, including prisons, jails, or detention centers. The service area is Comanche, Kiowa, Tillman, Cotton, Caddo, Stephens, and Jefferson counties.
The sentenced adult must meet the following criteria to receive services funded under this program:
- Be assessed or diagnosed as having a substance use disorder and/or co-occurring substance use and mental disorder.
- Either sentenced to and serving at least one month in a correctional facility, jail/prison/detention center, or be on probation/parole and be at risk of being reincarcerated in a correctional facility, due to a probation/parole violation.
The Adult Reentry Program provides case management services and, as needed, financial assistance. The program provides services for 12 months and referrals for aftercare. The Adult Reentry Program will not pay fines, court costs, probation fees, restitution, legal fees, or any other court-related costs.
