Senior Spotlight: Jade Ketchum
Fletcher Wildcat and high school senior Jade Ketchum plays first, third and pitcher on the baseball team.
He said his greatest accomplishment was making it to playoffs last year.
“Well, last year, we started off the season in the fall,” Ketchum said. “We went like four and twenty. Then we came back and won first round of playoffs in the spring.”
He said he’ll miss being out on the field with his teammates.
“It's always a good time. Always find ways to have fun, even if we're winning or losing,” Ketchum said.
He said he’ll be attending Dallas Christian College in Farmers Branch, Texas.
“I didn't want to go too far from home,” Ketchum said. “I liked that the school wasn't too big.”
As for his new coach…
“He's old, so he knows, like, everything about the game and all that,” Ketchum said.
He said outside of baseball he likes to fish.
“I go to, like, Apache a lot to fish,” Ketchum said
He said his mom keeps him connected to his culture.
“My mom's a big part of, like, the Comanche community. She teaches at the Comanche Academy,” Ketchum said. “She's really involved in all that stuff, so she kind of helps me stay connected.”
