Comanche Nation Prescription Assistance Hosts Annual Health Fair
From 9 am to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, March 13, Comanche Nation Prescription Assistance will hold its annual health fair at Watchetaker Hall.
The event will feature doctors from area hospitals focusing on family wellness and domestic violence.
There will be T-shirts for those who register early, as long as supplies last and door prizes.
Breakfast and lunch will be served.
“At the Medical Center, we have our diabetes program, the prescription assistance program, and the optometry program. And through our programs, we're trying to get awareness so that we're having our tribal members to live a healthy lifestyle,” Kevin Wahkinney, the director of Comanche Nation Medical Center, said. “So, when we're having these events, these health fairs, they're able to get out into the community. So, if there's questions that they might have or suggestions they might have from our programs, then we can try to make those adjustments throughout the year so that we're accommodating our tribal members the best of our abilities.”
