Senior Spotlight: Alexander Frickie

Frickie said he’s not going to play football after high school but does plan to go to a trade school after high school to be a mechanic. He said his dad brought him around cars when he was younger, especially an old Chevrolet S-10.

“It really got me and my dad closer over the past few weeks,” he said. “Me and my dad have been working on my truck, trying to get it back together. We've been putting the engine back together.”

Frickie has been playing football for five years and said he made his first career start in varsity about two weeks ago.

He said he’ll miss the bonds he and his teammates have and seeing his team constantly.

“When the linemen got together and we did drills together, we just had a bunch of fun,” Frickie said. “We were always happy.”

Frickie said he feels happy when he’s on the field.

“Because I try my best for these guys out here, and I just do everything I can for them,” he said.

He said he was a part of a summer program at Comanche Nation and was happy to be there to start learning about his heritage.

“I worked with the Comanche Nation Youth Services, and I watch kids every day, and Miss Randi really helped me with a lot of it,” Frickie said. “I learned some stuff I didn't learn before about the Comanche heritage and language.”

He said he also enjoys cooking beef or chicken ramen.

“I cook it up almost every night, and I eat it. Every time I get hungry, I just go get off on my bed and go eat ramen,” Frickie said.
