Mission
To protect and maintain the integrity of Comanche families that are determined to be at risk of abuse or neglect and to ensure Comanche Indian youth who are removed from their own homes are in the least restrictive placement.
Services
- Enrolled or Eligible to be Enrolled Comanche youth aged 0 – 18.
- Advocate for compliance with the ICWA (Indian Child Welfare Act).
- Case management and monitoring for both state and tribal cases.
- Regular contact with families, including monthly visits with youth in tribal care.
- Tribal Foster Care support for youth and families.
- Recruitment of Tribal Foster Care Homes.
- Case-by-case services to prevent the removal of Comanche Youth from their home.
How to Become a Tribal Foster Home with Comanche Nation Indian Child Welfare

Here are the steps if you are interested in moving forward in the process:
- Fill out an application
- Have a background check completed (done by ICW)
- Have a Home Study completed by our Foster Care Specialist
- Complete 27 hours of Foster Care Training
- Obtain approval and become Certified through ICW
- Sign your Foster Care Agreement
- Open your home to Comanche youth who are in care
