Senior Spotlight: Logan Crawford

Cache Bulldog High School senior Logan Crawford competes in wrestling, football and Track and Field.

His weight class in wrestling is 138, and plays safety and slot receiver in football. In Track and Field, Crawford competes in the 300 hurdles and pole vault.

He is also Vice President of Cache’s Native American Club.

Crawford said his mom got him into sports at a young age.

“It was started off as just playing to burn energy, and then it turned into sports that I really love and care about,” he said.

Crawford said his greatest accomplishment in high school was in sophomore year, and having a good academic standing.

“Getting runner up my sophomore year in wrestling, and I have a 28 on my ACT. I worked really hard on that,” he said. “Having a 3.7 GPA I really tried on my grades throughout high school.”

Crawford said his career path is what drives him in academics.

"I want to be a doctor, so I just, you have to,” he said. “You kind of have to be good with your grades. So, I just and my parents they taught me from a young age to try hard in school.”

Crawford said he’s going to miss his friends after graduating.

“Hanging out with my friends every day, my childhood friends, I won't see them nearly as much, but I'm yeah, I'm going to miss them a lot,” he said. “I'm going to miss as much as I hate going to school every day. I'm going to miss going to Cache every day.”

Crawford wants to continue wrestling in college and major in biology pre-med to become an orthopedic surgeon.

“I've always wanted to help people, and I'm big into sports, so I was hoping that I could help athletes when I'm older,” he said.

IMNDN has helped Crawford stay connected with his heritage.

“For JOM and Native American Club, we hang out with them all the time, and you know…I really found my culture over this last year, and I just stick with it,” he said.

One of Crawford’s hobbies is connected to his career path.

“I watch like live surgeries at like two in the morning,” he said.

Crawford said he has a couple of offers for wrestling after high school.
