Annual Comanche County Basketball Tournament Begins

The Comanche County Tournament tipped off on Monday, January 20, at Great Plains Coliseum.

Games began with Walters beating Big Pasture in the early afternoon.

Geronimo Lady Blue Jays faced the Tipton Tigers and won 66 to 29.

Alison Daly and McKenzi Huffman put their names on the board in the first half, and Abbey Huffman finished out the game.

The girls’ Indiahoma and Chattanooga teams would be next on the hardwood.

Chattanooga would lead 53 to 8 with points from Maddie Koweno, but Indiahoma’s Isabela Ramirez and Laila Tissychy would rally in the second half.

Indiahoma would finish 26 to 79.

The Sterling Tigers, with Ayanna Mithlo and Cheyenne Putman-Elam, would win against Fletcher 46 to 34.

The girls' games will continue at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday with Indiahoma vs. Fletcher, 5:50 p.m. with Tipton vs. Big Pasture, 7:10 p.m. with Chattanooga vs. Sterling, and 8:30 p.m. with Geronimo vs. Walters.

The boys will play on Tuesday, January 21, starting at 4:30 p.m.
