Comanche Nation Elderly Center Title VI Part C, Caregivers Support Program (CSP)
Our mission is to provide a comprehensive referral and service system for families and individuals who are caregivers to elders who are chronically ill or who have a life-altering physical, mental, or developmental disabilities, and for grandparents who provide care to grandchildren. CSP is a federal program funded through the Administration on Aging, Title VI Part-C.
This program provides many areas of service for the caregiver, including respite care. Applicants can expect a home visit to determine eligibility. If applicant qualifies, he/she will receive notification within 10 business days.

Respite Care
Respite care provides the adult caregiver with time off from their caregiving duties. The caregiver chooses his/her own respite worker, the respite provider can NOT live in the same household. The CSP program lasts (up-to) 12 weeks (based on individual needs) we pay 10 hours a week, 20 hours every 2 weeks (CHECKS TAKE 7-10 BUSINES DAYS AFTER TIME SHEETS ARE SUBMITTED) Program participants are eligible to re-apply every 6 months.
Required Documentation
- CDIB/citizenship card (patient)
- Proof of address
- GRG must provide verifiable documentation of custody.
ELIGIBILITY
- Must be 55 years of age or older (Care Receiver)
- Caregiver must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be an enrolled tribal member of a federally recognized tribe.
- Care receiver must be chronically ill or have a life-altering physical, mental or developmental disability
- Grandparents raising a grandchild under 18 years of age
- Absent parent(‘s) may NOT reside in the home
- Those who rely on a caregiver for at least two activities of daily living needs
- Caregivers cannot obtain services from other Caregiver programs while with CSP
