The 47th Annual Comanche Man Dance took place Oct. 21 in Apache, Oklahoma. Around 50 Straight Dancers, both local and out-of-state, participated in the ceremony, dancing to beautiful songs throughout the afternoon and evening. Despite the inclement weather, an estimated 200 were present to view the event. Numerous Gift basket filled with non perishable items, circled the drum, as the men danced into the night. Towards the conclusion of the dance, the gift baskets were given to elders.
